Vertamae Grosvenor lives in Washington, D.C. and is the host of the public television series The American Family Kitchen. She is a regular commentator on National Public Radio All Things Considered, and the award winning host of Seasonings. Most recently, she was the culinary consultant for the film, Beloved, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Toni Morrison.
