I bought this book intially for a newlywed who claimed she didn't know a thing about cooking, but when I saw the recipes I got a copy to keep. Due to a disability I get tired quickly and have low endurance, but as a deep down foodie on a budget I have found no appeal in take out pre-prepared foods. By now I have bought at least 6 copies of this book and several others by this author as gifts for college studens, newly weds and other folks new to cooking. I am never disappointed with the recipes exactly as written; unusual for me as I like to adjust and experiment. In this book the author uses fresh, simple ingredients in combinations that unvaryingly are balanced and interesting.
