Mmmmmm, Honey-baked Pear Bread. Great for using "aging" pears! Lots of great bread, roll, scone, biscuit recipes in here. Also tantalizing veggie dishes like the Scalloped Summer Squash using cheddar cheese or for something a little different; Blue Cheese Potato Gratin or Horseradish Mashed Potatoes! Try the "Golden Carrot Ring" using shredded carrots with brown sugar, lemon and orange juice for flavoring, all baked in a ring mold. Then there's Spaetzle, Pierogis and Dumplings along with various filling recipes. There's so much more here; meats, soups, salads, drinks, appetizers, more than I have room to tell you. Try this one and it may be one of your favorites. Only one drawback; no pictures. I wish all cookbooks had nice color pictures!
