The recipes I tried tasted like they came from a second-rate home cook. Bland overcooked vegetables and over-use of meat substitutes, instead of truly vegetarian dishes. The commentary was interesting, however, read like an unedited travel notebook - not like a professionally written piece. This is the only cookbook of dozens I own I gladly gave away.
