A desperate chef reacts to one unfavorable opinion - look at all the 5-star reviews written in the same voice, on the same day - more reviews than books sold, I'm sure. Sad.

I've tried a few of the recipes already, and they've all turned out great. Sure, they are a bit more complex than some recipes, but they aren't hard, the steps are well-explained. The roasted tarragon chicken was excellent, and the rice pudding was the best I've ever had! What I'm enjoying most, though, is reading the "wine notes," since I don't know much about choosing wines. This book would definitely make a great holiday gift for anyone getting into wine, and for those who like to cook!

Frank McClelland and Christie Matheson open up a world of wine pairing (even for a complete beginner like me). Not to mention that the recipes are incredible. I'm so glad I bought this in time for the many holiday dinners I'm hosting - and I'm sure to buy a few more to give as gifts. Simply excellent!
