I am a good baker, but agree that these recipes are over the top. Too fussy, elaborate details; even a 6 page recipe! I've only baked the pumpkin cheesecake, but not a book I'd choose to bake from often! Pretty pictures and can appreciate the work that went into it. Ann, Montclair, NJ.

It's not often that you can bake a cake that not only tastes great, but looks exactly like the picture! Rose is the Queen of cake. But be warned that this is not for the faint of heart. The cakes are gorgeous and delicious, but they take commitment to the process. Brava Rose!

There are a wide variety of cake recipes in this book and very different from the Cake Bible. So far I have only baked two cakes from this cookbook but they have both been delicious. There are another dozen I still want to bake and I have a feeling they will all be delicious.
