Ina Garten, bestselling cookbook author and beloved star of Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, is back with her easiest recipes ever.

In Barefoot Contessa How Easy is That? Ina proves once again that it doesn’t take complicated techniques, special equipment, or stops at more than one grocery store to make wonderful dishes for your family and friends. Her newest must-have cookbook is all about saving time and avoiding stress while having fun in the kitchen.

These are not recipes with three ingredients thrown together in five minutes; instead home cooks will find fantastic Barefoot Contessa recipes that are easy to make but still have all that deep, delicious flavor Ina is known for—and that makes a meal so satisfying. Think Pink Grapefruit Margaritas served with Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs—two classics with a twist. For lunch, Ina makes everyone’s favorite Ultimate Grilled Cheese sandwich and Snap Peas with Pancetta. For dinner, try Jeffrey’s Roast Chicken (tried and true!); Steakhouse Steaks, which come out perfectly every time and—with Ina’s easy tip—couldn’t be simpler; or an Easy Parmesan “Risotto” that you throw in the oven instead of stirring endlessly on the stovetop. Finally, Ina’s desserts never disappoint—from Red Velvet Cupcakes to Chocolate Pudding Cream Tart.

To top it all off, Ina also shares her best tips for making cooking really easy. She leaves bowls of lemons and limes on the counter not only because they look great but because they also remind her that a squeeze of lemon in a dish brightens the flavors. She shows us the equipment that makes a difference to her—like sharp knives, the right zester, an extra bowl for her electric mixer—and that can help you in your kitchen, too.

Filled with 225 gorgeous full-color photographs, Barefoot Contessa How Easy is That? is the perfect kitchen companion for busy home cooks who still want fabulous flavor.

Very Very disappointing !!! I have all of Garten's books and generally find them fun and home-cook friendly . The recipes are "page fillers" and the book was obviously put together to fulfill her obligation and to just get it out - well that's the way it comes across . I think my Ina book buying end with this one .

This book is a big disappointment. I guess it's ok if it's the only Ina book you own but for fans of her other books, it seems as if she just collected some old recipes, put a new title on the front and shoved it out the door. A big letdown.

I'm shocked! All of this negative vibe..I also happen to have all of her books.. except back to basics.. as well as over 1500 more (hardcovers)... I have 35 books just on cookies...This book was so refreshing.. so much so that I am buying another for my son (28) who is an avid cook, and entertainer... yes. some of the recipes are somewhat common-but there are only about 3 (to me) that are just too basic for my interest. Each and every recipe I wish to try has an interesting twist.. the truffle butter some are complaining about - easily can be made by adding a few T.of truffle oil (many markets have this) to whipped butter... other than that - I'm not sure what other exotic ingredients people are referring to... for those interested in buying her book... I see that this site is showing the apple/cranberry cake - one I plan to make tomorrow morning-as I have all the ingredients on hand - and just see how interesting (and simple) the recipe is - expecially the fruit to flour ratio... The book had my taste buds working for my entire perusal. This is my favorite Ina book!!! BUY

I have found redundancies in some of her other books as well. Would love to see a compilation of all instead of trying to figure out which recipes are new and which are repeats.

Agree with previous reviewers. Use her other cookbooks all the time. This book uninspiring.

I own all of her cookbooks and have been pleased with them, however this new one was a big disappointment. It was full of recipes that she had already done in her other books, plus many of the new ones were full of specialty ingredients that she buys from her friends shops in her area. I found the tips that she had sprinkled throughout the book to be too elemental and general. This book definitely was not up to her standards. It was almost as if someone else wrote this book for her. I took my copy back to the store for a refund! I was so disappointed. Don't waste your money.

I'm a big Ina Garten fan, love all of her recipes, and have most of her cookbooks. Although I do like this book very much, I felt that the recipes in the book are very similar to ones that she's already covered in her previous works, such as: roast chicken, leg of lamb, and some other dishes. I'm not discouraging anyone from purchasing the book at all, but found it somewhat redundant.
