This the most used cake book in my collection. The cover recipe for Coconut cream cake is my most requested repeat, followed closely by the german Chocolate. Her simplified swiss/italian buttercream is foolproof! i only wish there was a volume 2 in the works. love it!

I have been a serious baker for 20 years; and a collector of cookbooks. This is one of my favorites - I have made at least half of these recipes and have never been disappointed in flavor or appearance. Loved her lemon pound cake; gingerbread; quick buttercream; fresh fruit tart. The best recipe I have made so far is the coconut cream cake! It is delicious! I have made it for many special occasions. The chocolate turtle torte was a lengthy prep - but well worth it - albiet extremely RICH! Serve only to true chocolaholics! These recipes are the real deal - you will not be disappointed. it's Caprial. it's not bad. it's on clearance. there's a good toffee dessert recipe that's probably worth the price alone.
