    This book is like a deluxe gourmet version of your old “standby” Better Homes and Gardens 3 ring binder style cook book. It has the tabbed dividers but it is a serious cookbook – no add a can of cream of mushroom soup here. It covers over 1200 recipes – 1500 photos. It gives you valuable cooking advice/tips; how to remove the pin bones in salmon, tying a roast, Asian ingredients, pressure cooking, grilling. This and The Joy of Cooking should be the first cookbooks any new or aspiring cook own. It’s a bargain at this price.
