I am a veteran baker who is always looking for healthy alternatives to baking with white flour. I have enjoyed looking throught this book. The recipes are diverse, clear and easy to follow. Recently I prepared the cornbread recipe. It was moist, delicious, nutritious and best of all, it was still great the next day. I would recommend this book for anyone who is interested in good nutrition and good baking. Enjoy.

I am an avid cook but not a baker. I bought this years ago and didn't really use it until now b/c I'm on WWatchers and eating whole grain. Wow, I didn't know what I was missing. This book is wonderful, complete and concise. Even without a ton of color photos, it doesn't matter--these recipes are so clearly written, they are totally user-friendly. I've made the carrot cake and whole wheat bread aptly titled "The easiest 100% whole wheat bread ever!" And it was. Mix it in a bowl as if making a store-bought cake and pop it into the oven. I can't wait to try the popovers, biscuits, and so much more.

I had 20 people for brunch and every baked item was from this book. They were all outstanding and easy to follow....nice to have healthy baking options for a change. Their carrot cake, banana-chocolate chip squares, morning glory muffins and cranberry-chocolate chew cookies were all-time favourites. I really trust this cookbook (as I have other KAF books) and would recommend it to every level of baker, especially those wishing to try whole grain baking.

What an informative book! Good recipes, too. You have GOT to try the "Whole Grain Brownies." They are outstanding. Whodathunkit that brownies -- of all things -- could be made of whole wheat flour and taste so good!
