The author of Stars Desserts and Four Star Desserts combines the best 150 dessert recipes from both books. Stars was a famous and very influential restaurant in San Francisco throughout the 80s and 90s, known especially for promoting California cuisine. The desserts there were legendary, and even though the first two books have been out of print for years, used copies sell for $100 and higher on eBay and Amazon.com.
