ABOUT BACK ORDERS
Shortly, this site will indicate an item’s availability and the expected arrival date of out of stock items.
If you order online and none of the books on your order are in stock, you will be notified and given approximate shipping date(s). Otherwise, the packing slip you receive with your order will indicate which items are on back order.
If you wish to inquire about an expected shipping date for an item on back order, you can contact customer service by calling from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday at 1-800-878-4264. You may also e-mail to customerservice@ecookbooks.com.
Unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, we can only provide approximate dates for backordered books. Sometimes, books will arrive from the publisher before the expected date, but many times the books arrive well after the expected date. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and we do our best to make sure that all books are shipped out in a timely manner.
If you paid for your order by credit card, you will not be charged for backordered items until they are shipped to you.
Shipping charges will not change if an order is back ordered and ships separately from the rest of the order. If your order qualified for Free Shipping and you opted for it, the backordered item will ship at no charge when it ships. If you paid for shipping, you will be charged a portion of the total shipping charge on each shipment sent to you. The amount you are charged is based on the percentage cost for the books that are in any particular shipment. The total charges will always add up to the shipping amount of your original order.
